As we were beyond Halloween, WDW was in full Christmas mode, which was fine with us. Christmas trees everywhere you looked. And I, at least for the first few days, enjoyed a Holly jolly time as well thanks to the exploits of Ms Gibney and her friends. Brilliant as always, and I really hope that Mr King finds the time to tell us some more of her story.
Of course, no trip to Orlando is complete without a diversion to Barnes & Noble (last year including a purchase of their special edition of The Stand). This year, surprisingly, including lengthy discussions about the performance of Ipswich football club with one of their superfans in the instore Starbucks. Purchase-wise I came out with two. The first 'Slough House' book by Mick Herron, which I am reading at the moment - typical of me to go all that way to buy a book set in London. The second, Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, which I am looking forward to reading.
